Links or an electronic controller?

Lowering links can suit an owner who wants one consistent offset. They offer a relatively simple mechanical adjustment, but changing that adjustment means accessing the hardware again. Existing lowering links do not need to be removed; their offset becomes part of the baseline you establish during setup. Follow the SQ5-specific installation route

The installation involves sensor connections, underbody harness routing and trunk wiring. The SQ5 instructions identify the right-side trunk arrangement and corresponding software orientation setting. Use those details rather than following an unrelated Audi installation video. After fitting, check normal operation and record the starting corner heights before creating profiles. Corner calibration establishes that starting reference. Your normal height settings then use front and rear adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune rake without confusing baseline calibration with everyday control.

The SQ5 route has its own orientation and trunk-access details. Match those first, then choose the everyday height around the actual wheel package and load.

Save heights for your version of SUV ownership

Use the Wi-Fi web interface or Bluetooth mobile app to create an everyday cruising position. Check it with the passengers and luggage you normally carry, and across the entrances you regularly use. Wheel offset, tire size and spacers all belong in that assessment. A low parked profile can provide the air-out appearance you want for an event or photos. On-the-fly adjustment lets you move through the available height range, while saved profiles make your chosen positions repeatable. In many applications, a separate dumping device is not needed to achieve the desired low stance. Let the factory controls do the familiar work
